Authors from a handful of the largest countries.
Below are a number of maps of authors from some of the largest countries. Cutoffs for inclusion in the visualization were made based on the number of ratings that an author recieved on Goodreads. Most countries have the cutoff at at least 1000 ratings, while Japan and China have the cutoff at 500 ratings. Positions will not be exact, as random jittering was added so authors with identical birth places wouldn't overlap.
